STRIVE Business Growth Center
Seeing the need to provide professional office facilitiesthat support the growth of entrepreneurship in our area, the Institute for Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship created the STRIVE Business Growth Center. Located in the Partners in Higher Education building at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and 142ndStreet in Apple Valley, a booming suburb in the south metro, the center offers quality office space to young companies and home-based entrepreneurs.
The STRIVE Business Growth Centeris ideal for small, start-up companies and home-based businesses as well as the virtual executive who requires occasional office, conference room and/or classroom space to conduct face-to-face business transactions. With current technology, businesses can do a lot from a remote location—such as a private home, but they still need a "professional physical destination" to showcase the nuts and bolts of their enterprise.
The center offers a shared executive office suite plus access to a conference room and classrooms Monday through Saturday on a timeshare basis.Along with physical space, the center provides access to office equipment as well as business assistance services tailored to meet the individual needs of each tenant. The STRIVE Business Growth Center fosters a networking community of colleagues with access tomentors who nurture and develop tenant businesses to their maximum potential.
Our primary commitment is to DCTC students and alumni along with clients of the DCTC Small Business Development Center. STRIVE does, however, reserve a limited number of spaces for businesses from the larger business community. Each member of the STRIVE community is obligated to offertheir time, talent and/or networking resources to the STRIVE membershipas a way to strengthen member businesses and support the DCTC student body.
